What is Combat BJJ?

This is the ground fighting system used in the Hokuto Shinken program. It takes much of the typical brazilian jiu-Jitsu system and incorporates realistic fighting modalities to the groundwork. It is Not to be seen as BJJ.This is more of a mindset than a martial art. BJJ is a sport martial art that is great for rules such as those in UFC and other sport competitions. Lazaro Bueno has added biting, gouging, tearing and striking to make this a realistic form of groundfighting with the intention of ONLY going to the floor if need be. The idea is to stay on your feet to prepare for multiple attackers and weapons. To get up as quick as possible to escape the situation and to cause the most damage in the least amount of time. NO ONE is ranked in Combat BJJ because it is part of the HOKUTO SHINKEN program and NOT an individual system. For my system of MMA that I prefer over BJJ, please look up my SHOOTO Unleashed system that I beileve is a more complete MMA system than BJJ.
